Determination of Economic, Fiscal and Sectoral Factors of Carbon Pricing for Turkey

Within the scope of the project, model studies will be carried out in order to foresee the effects of carbon pricing policies and a report including this study will be prepared.

Project Explanation: Turkey is evaluating market-based mechanisms such as carbon pricing in the scope of the fight against climate change to achieve its targets that were presented at the Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC) of the country.

In this project, emissions reductions that market-based mechanisms can provide and possible economic impacts due to mechanisms will be well understood. These effects include; emission reduction effect and economic, fiscal and sectoral effects.

The project includes a consortium that supported by Asst. Assoc. Dr. Kemal Sarıca, that also includes Vivid Economics and Life Enerji.
Various workshops, meetings and trainings will be organized within the scope of the project. The main output of the project is model studies will be carried out in order to foresee the effects of carbon pricing policies and a report including this study will be prepared.
